Read release →The Students' Federation of India extends our inquilabi greetings to everyone who fought hard and forced Dharmendra Pradhan to resign. This is the victory of student unity and proof that no ruler is greater than the organised people. The past 2 months of struggle have shaken the fort of Indian Hitler Narendra Modi. We thank all the organisations who stood with the students in these times. We sincerely appreciate the leadership of CJP and other Left and progressive student organisations in directing a huge wave of GenZ agitators into a peaceful and powerful form of resistance. This victory is a step towards our demand for comprehensive reform of the education system.
The struggle will continue in different forms until the systemic rot in the Indian education sector is resolved for the better. The National Testing Agency (NTA) that took the lives of more than 20 students must be scrapped. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 that legitimises the anti-student approaches of the ruling class must be withdrawn. Uncompromisingly, justice must be served to all the victims and their families. Until equal, just, and inclusive education is ensured to the students in India, the resistance must go on.
SFI is one of the first organisations to protest against the NEET irregularities and has been in the forefront fighting NEP 2020 for more than half a decade now. We've been actively mobilizing student masses across the country to fight against NEET paper leak, expose NTA's incompetence and oppose the repression of peaceful protestors in the last 2 months. Our struggles will take an intensified vigour in the coming days where we will organise students throughout the country to raise our demands. SFI congratulates the unwavering commitment and courage of all the students, youth and people who have joined in solidarity, blurring the generation gaps.
